Warrior Strong INC is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has dedicated itself to the mission of positively inspiring Veterans, current members of the United States Armed Services, and First Responders to improve physical and mental health through fitness classes and activities, including a training facility that fosters community and camaraderie. To succeed in its mission, Warrior Strong INC provides wellness activities in the form of fitness classes, outdoor fitness and wellness events, and informational seminars. The organization provides members with a center for networking and support that allows them to interact with like-minded Warriors by fostering communication through shared experiences in a comfortable and familiar environment.

We believe it’s our duty and responsibility to ensure no one gets left behind. We believe there is no greater cause than to provide a place of refuge and reconnection and to teach practices and techniques that enable our war fighters and first responders the means to live lives of gratitude and profound joy. Welcome Home.  Our Goal: Our goal is to effect positive change and growth in our local Veteran and First Responder community. We will achieve this goal because we must. As a Nation and local community we must do more to serve those who have sacrificed so much for us.  Our facility will be complete with handicap-accessible hiking trails, Labyrinth, meditation garden and so much more. By providing services such as Meditation, Yoga, Breathwork, grounding and equine therapy we will provide programming that allows opportunities to connect with ourselves and those we treasure.   We can’t do this on our own. Equines for Freedom (EFF) is a nonprofit organization that treats active and former military personnel and First Responders who are experiencing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), no matter the source of the trauma. EFF uses one of the most effective treatments available; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which offers clients a nontraditional approach to therapy. This therapy combines a licensed mental health professional, a certified equine specialist, and a therapy horse to create a research-based treatment model which strives to resolve emotional difficulties caused by disturbing, difficult, or frightening life experiences. The horse is an integral part of treatment because horses are prey animals and therefore are extremely alert and sensitive to the emotions of those around them.  Clients learn to identify their own emotional state by observing the horse’s reactions.  The horse also helps the client stay grounded as they process past traumas.
